US-backed plant produces steel in a single step, cutting emissions by 98%

Hertha Metals is building a new facility in Texas, funded by the US government, to produce high-purity iron and steel. This facility aims to close the gap in the supply of critical raw materials for rare earth magnets and to reduce production costs.
